We are looking for an English Language Acquisition Teacher for an International school located in Guangzhou. Deliver engaging English Language Acquisition lessons within the IB MYP framework across appropriate phases.
Plan a coherent language programme aligned with MYP objectives, integrating ATL skills, inquiry, and authentic contexts.
Differentiate instruction for diverse proficiency levels, using strategies for EAL learners and targeted language goals (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
Use formative and summative assessments aligned to MYP criteria to monitor progress; maintain clear records and provide timely feedback.
Collaborate with local teachers and the wider academic team on unit planning, vertical and horizontal alignment, and whole-school events.
Support students’ literacy across the curriculum and promote academic language for other subject areas.
Communicate regularly with parents on progress, targets, and strategies for home support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in English, Applied Linguistics, Education, or related field
Two or more years of teaching experience, preferably with secondary/middle school learners
IB MYP Language Acquisition experience preferred; training or certification in IB programmes an advantage

Benefits

Monthly salary of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
