- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Danaher’s three core platforms, associated technologies, and developmental pathways, as well as potential areas for technological integration.
- Build leadership in critical disease areas such as Oncology, Neurology, and Immunology, identify innovation opportunities in diverse clinical pathways.
- Pinpoint innovation technologies which can streamline drug discovery, biologics production, cell and gene therapy development.
- Identify and evaluate potential partners, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, academic institutions, hospital leaders and government entities, to introduce cutting-edge innovations to Danaher.
- Coordinate global and China cross-functional teams, with a focus on leading and implementing BEACON, Nexus, Pioneer, and open innovation initiatives to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
- Drive collaboration with leading KOLs, publish in high-impact journals and formulate clinical guidelines.
- Lead the activities of Danaher China Innovation Community, facilitating engagement with R&D and business leaders, and providing S&T and innovation training and education.
- Cultivate new technical and business talents within the market.
- Ph.D degree in Life Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical/Diagnostics industries; Expertise with related applications and technologies, patents and other intellectual property.
- Experience having successfully led meaningful R&D and/or Innovation functions.
- Established research track record as evidenced by publications and/or professional accomplishments.
- Experience in project management, partnership management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to combine and apply scientific/technical and business knowledge, apply lateral thinking skills, and demonstrate strong business acumen with an ability to make balanced decisions.
- Excellent cross-culture interpersonal, organization, communication and influencing skills, in both Chinese and English.
- Experience influencing various stakeholders to effect change and achieve results in a dynamic, complex environment.
