- Digitalization of Production and Technology (DoPT) - Industrial Mobility (IM) is focused on positioning BASF to lead the digital transformation in chemicals. A cross discipline team is working to create digital solutions that improve BASF's competitiveness across the value chain, including business models, research, supply chain, and manufacturing. The Industrial Mobility topic is active in Germany, along with regions across the globe.
- The successful candidate will be a team member supporting our production plants in Zhanjiang and Greater China with digital solution implementation efforts to ensure successful adoption of Industrial Mobility solutions. This role is located in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, creating value in safety, efficiency, reliability, and overall operational excellence.
- Provide consultant, rolling out and trouble shotting of industrial mobility solution on a green filed project.
- Develop understanding of site operations needs and opportunities with respect to mobile apps to prepare production plants to adopt new solutions. Champion and communicate activities that have potential of crossing multiple digitalization product families / service groups.
- Drive development and implementation of possible new digital solutions relevant to the manufacturing community Collaborate, Coordinate, track and communicate to stakeholders the roll-out process and determine site acceptance of digital technologies. Coordinate / manage / configuration of device inventory. Work closely with our regional and global Industrial Mobility product team to ensure adoption and further development of our product and service.
- Mentor and provide guidance to technical resources at production sites for continuous improvement.
- Tactical Activities to include, but not limited to:
▪ Gather / validate requirements from users and business experts
▪ Support as regional expert in the definition of the scope of Industrial Mobility mobile apps and devices for the rollout to site/plants
▪ Identification of customer demand and communication to Industrial Mobility leadership
▪ Support in creation of regional and local support concepts
Implementation
▪ Implementation of IM solution in the plant
▪ Support identification of required structural/infrastructure changes or Testing
▪ Coordinate and support Functional Test (FT) as applicable
▪ Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) preparation and execution
▪ Support preparation of master data and transactional data
Training
▪ Support implementation of training & qualification concepts on plant level
▪ Prepare and perform key user trainings together with business experts
▪ Support end user trainings
Go Live
▪ Prepare and support IM app piloting at site/plants
▪ Perform required go live activities
▪ Perform go live and post go live support on plant level until completion
▪ Execute and support service transition to sustainmentWhat we expect
- Education: A technical bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Working Experience: 5+ years manufacturing/production/digitalization experience.
- Good communication skill in spoken and written both English and Mandarin.
- Team player with strong presentation and communication skills.
- Keen on innovations in digitalization and mobile technology.
- Microsoft applications including Forms, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI will be a plus.
- Connectivity and troubleshooting of mobile devices experience will be a plus.
- Project Management knowledge will be a plus.
- Green field experience will be a plus.
- Working Location: Zhanjiang, Guangdong.
