  • The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality examinations services for British Council Global Exams Services in South China through effective test center network management and venue staff management, ensuring exam services are delivered in full compliance with all corporate standards and regulations set by examinations' boards.
  • It is expected the post holder to demonstrate a good capability in communication and relationship management, people management, as well as adaptability to change.
Accountabilities:
  • Conduct capacity development, venue sourcing and contracting for test center network in South China to meet the business needs for Global Exam Services team, and strength the relationships with test centre key contacts to maintain a stable and sustainable cooperation model.
  • Implement the recruitment, training, deployment, and monitoring processes for test day personnel in South China to ensure the capacity of test day personnel effectively support the growth of Global Exams Services business in South China, as well as ensuring the quality of test day personnel meet the relevant corporate standards and the requirements set by exam boards.
  • Manage the performance of test centres and venue staff in South China in accordance with exam boards' requirements and British Council Exams Quality & Compliance Assessment (QCA) standards and conduct regular evaluation and feedbacks in a timely manner.
  • Play an active role to take part in relevant projects as required to contribute to resources planning and optimization of Global Exams Services test centre management and venue staff management.
  • Line-manage outsourcing staff and coordinate with different functional teams to work collectively to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality examinations services to candidates.
  • Perform required financial activities (for example: Purchase Order/Sales Order creation, Urgent Payment, OTV, Income reconciliation, Accrual, Finance tracking etc.) and support functional manager in finance monitoring to ensure accuracy and compliance to statutory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Ensure all duties are delivered in line with the British Council's policy on Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and these is taken into account when planning and delivering activity.
  • Manage information created and received in compliance with the British Council's information management standards, policies, the UK data protection principles and local legislation.
Role specific knowledge and experience:
  • Experience in relationship management and customer services
  • Demonstrable experience of people management, key account management and project management
  • Demonstrable multi-tasking ability
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above (or relevant experience)
  • Language:
o English at Proficiency Level B2 (Aptis B2, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
o Chinese at Proficiency Level C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent)
