Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Working in 3M Consumer Business Group to introduce new products and product platforms for consumer sports protection Portfolio
  • Interact with application engineer/business/customers to identify new product opportunities
  • Work with cross-functional team on driving new product commercialization by verifying product performance, validating manufacturing process, and setting material specification
  • Apply disciplined project practices to prioritize, execute, and document your work
  • Engaging in cross-business group and technical platform collaboration to drive innovations for consumer safety and well-being
  • Communicating with Business team and Global laboratory and developing strong working partnerships/networks for key technical input and related activities
  • Initiating and contributing to the development of Intellectual Property and IP strategies
Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who have the following qualifications:
  • Master or advanced degree in Materials Science, Sports Science, Biomechanics or a related field with a minimum of 3-year new product development or product engineering experience
  • Experience in product development within sports protection, sports gear, or sports equipment industries as a plus
  • Familiarity with biomechanics and ergonomic design principles for sports applications and experience as a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to design experiments, statistically analyze test results, make data-driven decisions, and deliver project results aiming at on-time in-full (OTIF)
  • Collaborative interpersonal style with experience in leading projects
  • Excellent technical presentation and communication skills with fluent English in written and spoken
