- Together with respective Line Management of Development Apparel to align with BU on seasonal objectives and ensure that they are followed through and results will be delivered.
- In collaboration with BU, drive strategic business and sourcing initiatives, i.e. lead time reduction, quick response programs and supporting the implementation of new product innovation.
- Developing assigned styles in cooperation with Design / Product Line Management / Sourcing.
- Consolidate critical cost issues for Source Development team to focus during supplier price meetings.
- Critically review Target Price / Retail Prices setting in connection with specified product details.
- Notify/red flag issues that arise and organize catch up with people involved when needed.
- Identify issues upfront that may prevent product sourcing objectives from being met. Including cost targets, quality standards in construction and materials, ease of manufacture, etc.
- Join all milestone meetings at Puma’s HQ as Representative of Source Development team, like Product Brief, Internal Design Review, Final Design Review meetings, etc.
- Build up and develop the team (target setting, performance assessment, training, and development), foster productive cross-category cooperation within the greater department. Manage and operate the department within the agreed budgets.
- Continuously monitor and balance team workload to achieve organizational efficiency by make use of IT-systems, data analysis and team feedback.
- High degree of specialized knowledge in respective function.
- 10 years functional & apparel development and sourcing experience.
- Good communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Finds significant and appropriate solutions to problems, picks out of various possible choices.
- Ability to inspire and lead team to perform.
- Textile garment technology / Pricing and costing knowledge.
- Planning and scheduling, supply chain processes understanding.
