We are looking for a Bilingual Chinese Teacher 双语中文老师 for an International School in Suzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.About schoolThis school is the first of its kind in China to be built specifically for children of returnees, children of overseas Chinese, and students who wish to receive an internationalized Chinese education. The school implements small-class bilingual teaching with no more than 24 students in each class. This school is the only full IB World School in Suzhou that is able to enroll Chinese students.Job responsibilities
  • Teach the subject of Chinese to high school students ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
  • Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
  • Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students' progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
  • Develop supportive and safe learning environments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
  • Teaching certificate
  • Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Fluent in Chinese and English
Salary and benefits
  • Monthly salary range of 10,000 to 25,000 RMB and is negotiable commensurate with experience and qualifications
