- Use advanced analytical skills to pro-actively search for financial crime risks, design and develop Compliance models
- Support the implementation of various AML model
- Undertake testing and/or validation to assure the model deployed in the region are fit-for-purpose
- Exercises responsibility for updates to existing models through regular monitoring and validation of results
- Work with large, complex data sets; contribute to processes for building management information (MI)
- Interpret data and model, generate insights for both technical and non-technical audiences and users
- Support regional analytics initiatives and projects, including data infrastructure, data quality reviews and enhancement, system improvements and model calibration, etc
- Degree holder or above in Finance, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, IT or a related field.
- Work actively as part of a dynamic team – often located in different countries and time zones - including taking on unfamiliar/difficult tasks when necessary.
- Sound judgment and problem solving skills, ability to think laterally.
- Experience working within the Hadoop ecosystem in addition to strong technical skills in analytical languages such as R, SQL, SAS. Experience on using Visualization tools (Tableau, Qlikview, QlikSense).
- Proficient in Python.
- Experience in applying machine learning techniques an advantage.
- Strong ability to large datasets: analyse multiple, complex data sets.
- Knowledge and/or background in financial crime themes, such as money laundering, terrorism financing and sanction evasion is a plus.
