- Responsible for that Purchasing contributors fulfill their GDP deliverables and tasks, Create visual project progress status reports and communicate project status within the Purchasing organization and to interested stakeholders
- Assign responsible buyer to new parts. Collaborate with Buyer, Supplier Development roles and all Commodity roles
- Together with project team set the target cost. Responsible for Purchasing overall cost targets on new purchased parts
- Responsible for planning and follow-up all new parts until first serial delivery
- Coordination with “sub-delivered projects” into main projects
- Secure ESI in early phases in NPD projects and in AE initiatives
- Define business requirements and stakeholder needs
- Demand resources from technology to be able to meet QSCCF-targets
- Secure documented gate passing sign-off with Purchasing PPD Director and Purchasing Site Manager (Core & Hub)
- Representative Purchasing in the project management team
- Identify opportunities and contribute to Commodity strategy development.
- Prioritize cost case for cost engineers at Volvo GTT within assigned project
- Secure time for Purchasing activities in the main time plan
- Demand resources, i.e. Buyers, SDE's, QA and material control according to project needs
- Make decisions to be able to secure each gate and builds
- Recommend gate passage GO/NO GO
- University or bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field,
- You have minimum 7 years of Project management or Business Development experience which includes: project management, sourcing, cost management, negotiations, supplier relationship management, operational & strategic supply management.
- An ideal candidate will possess relevant technical knowledge and solid understanding of construction equipment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, backed by a track record of delivering results. Strong networking skills and the ability to motivate team members.
- Experienced in project management methodology, procurement process and development project knowledge.
- Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Previous work experience in the Construction Equipment or Automotive industry, project management experience is a plus.
