- Collate information and provide an analysis on key economic developments, including the specific priority economic sectors and market access issues in China, which are of relevance to the region of the embassy.
- To enhance the office engagement aimed at promoting the region of the embassy as the preferred investment destination to Chinese companies looking to invest and set up business operations overseas with an emphasis on encouraging high value investments through technology start ups, research and development and joint venture partnerships.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging bilateral cooperation activities to support the region's commercial interests, and vice versa.
- Working closely with the Commercial office in maintaining close contact with Chinese Ministries, Provincial Government functionaries, Chambers of Commerce and Business Councils to achieve the mandate of the Commercial Office.
- Support the Commercial office by participating in (internal and external) meetings, conferences, and seminars to achieve the Office mandate.
- Draft pre-meeting inputs, prepare speeches/talking points, as and when required.
- Responsible for the preparation of Weekly, Quarterly and other reports of the Commercial Office.
- Providing prompt response and attending the Trade and Investment queries received by the Commercial Office and the Embassy.
- Bachelor and above education backgroud.
- Proven strong enligh speaking and writing skill.
- Result driven and able to meet deadlines.
- Skill and passion in trade and investment.
