Job descriptionWealth and Personal Banking (WPB)Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become a global wealth manager with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We provide products and services such as bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as asset management, insurance, wealth management and private banking, that best suit our customers’ needs.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.In this role, you will:Impact on the Business/Function1. Achieve agreed Key Performance Indicator objectives through the development of existing and new Elite client relationships2. Complete regular reviews with clients to understand their current and long term financial needs and advise them on the differentiated products and services that help them achieve their wealth goals3. Use tools, information, and delivery channels effectively to deliver the highest levels of client service4. Maintain a minimum standard of qualifying Elite Premier clients within portfolio as stated by Group5. Monitor and act on daily sales activity management information and other internal information tools, using them to effectively grow or maintain wallet share of clients6. Fully utilise and input to Client Relationship Management data, ensuring all client information is complete and kept up to date7. Identify opportunities, to refer business to GMP, GPB, Insurance and Asset Management, as appropriateCustomers / Stakeholders1. Own the client relationship with HSBC and provide professional care and expert financial advice that results in clients considering HSBC their primary bank2. Work with the broader branch, support and direct teams to ensure achievement of the business performance measures by delivering differentiated wealth products and services to the client3. Build and maintain relationships with clients based on credibility, reliability and personal interest4. Utilise in-depth knowledge of relevant products and services and how they might be tailored to provide the best solutions for clients5. Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service with individual clients with regular monitoring of client satisfaction6. Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial marketsLeadership & Teamwork1. Work as part of an integrated management team to ensure, standards and are met and operating models delivered2. Complete line manager responsibilities for managing assigned Premier Officer or designated support staff3. As a team player, establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in the wider WPB businesses and others as appropriate to service client needs4. Collaborate with the wider team to deliver the WPB performance measures and plan to support the multi channel client journey5. Act a role model and coach to more junior RMs, as neededOperational Effectiveness & Control:1. Ensure that sales and operations are undertaken in accordance with HSBC FIM, BIM and Credit Policy Manual appropriate lending guidelines.2. Manage operational risk, by using relevant Management Information to identify risk situations and take any appropriate action to minimise loss.3. Adhere to selling process and sales quality requirementsRequirementsTo be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:1. Knowledge & Experience1) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.2) Minimum of four years proven and progressive financial services, and at least 2 years as Relationship Manager.3) Evidence of strong client recommendation and sales results in wealth products.4) Equivalent relationship management experience in managing high net worth client portfolios preferred.5) Expert knowledge in financial planning and wealth products.6) Sound knowledge of the impact of macroeconomics/microeconomics/local market developments.7) Expert knowledge of external regulatory framework relevant to wealth management.8) If internal, in-depth understanding of HSBC Global House Views.9) Strong client focus and ability to develop long term partnerships with clients.10) Ability to deliver needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing, and sales skills.11) Local regulatory & license requirements - job holder should possess valid licenses with accreditation on wealth management and qualification as required by country.12) Clear view on how to work with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment.13) Able to communicate well in English and local languages.2.
