Job SummariesThe position leads Component and process costing efforts by developing standardized frameworks, validating calculation, ensuring financial standards compliance and drive cost transparency. This role supports strategic and make-or-buy decisions through cost impact analysis, investment evaluation, and scenario simulations while monitoring performance via cost tracking, quotation response, and savings initiatives. It also drives continuous improvement through lean principles, cost reduction projects, and team development in manufacturing cost accounting and ERP systems. Strong analytic skills, proactive mindset and cross-functional collaboration are essential to drive cost optimization, support long-term manufacturing strategies and enhance operational efficiency.Working Location: Jiangmen / Shajing, China (frequent travel)Key ResponsibilitiesProduct /Process Costing & Validation
  • Derive, maintain and standardization costing frameworks for new projects/processes, ensuring alignment with GAAP and internal compliance policies.
  • Audit existing cost setup to ensure consistency and benchmark against industry standards for saving opportunities.
  • Streamline existing quotation processes, develop costing model and implement best practices to improve quotation lead time, records and assumptions traceability.
  • Support global footprint cost benchmark, see-through analysis and costing method alignment.
Strategic Decision Support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, Production) to evaluate cost implications of process changes or capital investments.
  • Perform project/process cost study and investment analysis to support make or buy decision making.
  • Identify cost drivers and generate scenario-based cost simulation to support both short and long terms manufacturing strategies to further optimization of cost and ROI.
Performance Monitoring
  • Track actual costs vs. budget/forecast, analyzing variances to inform operational adjustments and KPI recalibration.
  • Track and drive quotations lead time, accuracy and consistency improvement.
  • Track and drive continuous cost reduction and insourcing saving activities.
  • Prepare monthly cost performance dashboards for senior management, highlighting risks and improvement levers.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and value engineering analyses.
  • Enhance operations team’s expertise in manufacturing process costing and sensitivity analysis to reinforce the application of design for manufacturing principles.
  • Mentor subordinates in cost accounting techniques and ERP system utilization.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Industrial Engineering; CMA/CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in manufacturing cost analysis or operation finance controlling background, with 5+ years in team leadership and with proficiency in activity-based costing and project feasibility study. Multinational manufacturing environment exposure with proactive mindset.
  • Skills:
  • Advanced Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Statistical analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong communication in both Chinese & English to present complex data to stakeholders
  • Lean Six Sigma certified & Activity-Based Costing (ABC) modeling expertise are highly preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a bias for actionable insights
  • Other: Acceptance for frequent business travel
