Department: Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO)Brief Description of PositionSERVICE PROVIDER OVERSIGHT
- End-to-End Local Service Provider Oversight:
- Assess GCTO China business needs and collaborate with Global Procurement to identify and evaluate new service providers.
- Support CRMs during SMO/PRO bidding through contract execution in study planning.
- Lead governance reviews with SMO and PRO partners, and handle escalations from CRM and Site Monitoring Teams to ensure services align with study goals.
- Act as GCTO China's process owner for local vendor selection, sourcing, and contracting, and maintain Local Vendor Oversight Plans per GCD SOPs.
- Oversee KPI metrics for SMO and PRO partners and lead or coordinate required training.
- FSP Governance Management:
- Lead governance review with FSP CROs for GCTO China FSP service.
- Coordinate and monitor GCTO China FSP headcount, including associated financial forecasting.
- Global Central Laboratory Service Management Support:
- Assist COSL in business reviews with global central lab providers.
- Analyze central lab setup timelines in China.
- Attend HQ PSRM collaborative meetings and coordinate HQ PSRM trainings and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with Global Procurement to proactively identify and implement efficiency improvements in Service Provider Management. Engage with the AP ROSL team to exchange insights and best practices.Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Master of Science or Medicine (or comparable) or above.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical operations/vendor management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Proven, hands-on experience in end-to-end vendor management. Demonstrated experience in managing governance processes and leading business review meetings.
- Exceptional Communication and Influencing Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders without direct authority
- Strategic Partnering & Relationship Management: Strong ability to build and maintain productive long-term relationships with service providers, functioning as a strategic partner rather than just a contract manager.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting KPIs and metrics to assess vendor performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: A proven team player who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional global and regional teams
- The position requires good oral and written skills.
