Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement China business strategy to drive business development and deliver planned revenue and margin growth, outgrowing the market.
  • Lead execution of the overarching strategy for business, ensuring alignment with global strategy, make impactful input into global strategy and provide action plans to ensure timely and proper execution.
  • Develop understanding of current market opportunities - collaborate with sales to set overall market’s "go to market" strategy and tactics across all available products.
  • Lead and improve cross-border cooperation to maximize sales effectiveness
  • Manage and develop high profile C-suite and/or senior relationships with key local clients.
  • Act as Morningstar brand ambassador externally by focusing on positioning our brand and service
  • Develop a high performing team and strong leadership bench through talent sourcing, coaching and mentoring, and performance management.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor intelligence and communicate to the rest of the business to work out better business solution and strengthen brand impact in China market.
Requirements:
  • Excellent track record in creating and/or leading success business.
  • Experience in building and leading cross-functional and/or multi-location teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with executive team in remote locations (e.g., Chicago).
  • Ability to focus on delivering against lofty expectation and ambitious goals.
  • Ability to network with and win trust/respect from regulators/policy makers and industry executives.
  • Relevant working experience in China and willing to live in or relocate to China.
  • Native mandarin speaker, and also using English comfortably in writing, delivering speeches and dialoguing in business settings.
  • A graduate degree preferred in a finance/quant related field.
  • A CFA charterholder or serious progress towards attaining the designation.
  • Practical expertise or academic experience in some of the following domains: securities research, portfolio management, ESG, corporate financing, and wealth management. Sales or sales support experience valuable.
