The Research Analyst Consultant will play a pivotal role in providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations within the not-for-profit industry. Based in Shanghai, the position requires strong analytical skills and a focus on delivering actionable solutions.Data & Modelling
  • Collect, analyse, and maintain key market data from company disclosures, industry publications, and trusted data sources.
  • Develop and maintain statistical and econometric models to assess drivers of local prices, market flows, demand dynamics, and investment flows across regions.
  • Build analytical models to evaluate investor behaviour, market structure, and demand patterns.
Market Insight
  • Support market research and insight initiatives across AP AC regions.
  • Monitor, analyse, and model China market data, including supply and demand, import/export flows, financial institution balance sheets, listed company financial, and exchange turnover.
  • Track macroeconomic and policy developments and assess their impact on local and regional markets.
  • Work closely with local business leaders to gather insights from key market participants, including corporate, manufacturers, and financial institutions.
  • Contribute to flagship research publications as well as other outputs such as Market Updates, Investment Updates, blogs, primers, and thematic studies.
  • Collaborate with China and AP AC teams to develop research ideas and actively participate in cross functional projects.
Marketing, Communications & Stakeholder Management
  • Support regional research leadership and senior management in research launches and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist local business heads with market engagement involving industry participants and institutional investors.
  • Support marketing and corporate communications in developing local market materials, ensuring quality, accurate translations.
  • Work collaboratively across regions and functions to deliver research outputs that meet organisational standards and support regional market initiatives.
Oversea market researchWork Life BalanceA successful Research Analyst Consultant should have:
  • At least 2 year's experience of working in a research role in a market knowledge-based financial institution or similar
  • Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
  • Proficiency in advanced statistical analysis
  • Quantitative analytic skills using tools such as Python, R, etc
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated experience of producing written research
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial markets and asset allocation
  • Strong presentations skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Willingness to travel regionally whenever required.
