Our client is a global leader in technology sector, established in China for over 20 years, with R&D centers, factories and over 10,000 employees. We are hiring a head of corporate affairs role(up to EVP level, covering Government Affairs, Public Affairs and Marketing) based in Shanghai or Beijing with a flexible budget of over 3m....about the team.This role reposts to the China CEO who is a foreign person based in Beijing, leading a team of 10+.Key Responsibilities
  • The team will work closely with Customer Experience, and other units, to communicate Company's points of view to positively influence how we are seen and shape conversations around future trends and government policy.
  • Additionally, it will advise on and mitigate reputational risks while reflecting stakeholder views in strategic discussions.
  • To achieve our ambition on technology leadership we need to steer the public debate around topics such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digitalization, automation, and 5G and to ensure people understand the full potential of the technology we create and the solutions we enable.
  • It is critical that we have a strong voice in policy discussions and demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and to conducting business ethically and responsibly.
  • Uses knowledge on how the job contributes to the corporate goals as well as knowledge of industry and competitive landscape to increase own effectiveness
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in communications, international affairs or public administration.
  • Min 15 years with similar capacity in the government affairs, PR and corporate communications function or an equivalent combination of experience
  • Demonstrated success in building and navigating government relationship and managing complex matters and issues
  • Familiar with Chinese political and government structure and policy processes and procedures
  • If the candidate also has experience in marketing, it would be a plus.
  • Experience with a multinational company working environment and able to lead collaboratively team across functions and geographies
  • Strong Executive Stakeholder Management Skills
  • Good presentation skills and a good public speaker
  • Leadership experience with diversified team structure
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written; proven experience of establishing, maintaining and developing working relationships at all levels
