- Assist in delivering the day-to-day operations of the restaurant in an entrepreneurial way and according to the concept statement of the restaurant.
- Work closely together with F&B and Kitchen as partners of the same F&B team, ensuring smooth and efficient service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks based on the service sequence agreed, which are aligned with the restaurant concept.
- Assign responsibilities to the team implementing Multi-Tasking principle and check their performance regularly.
- Be hands on F&B and Kitchen Administration and be present at all times in the outlet, especially during busy periods.
- Ensure that through clearly defined service standards, guidance and feedback, our employees are empowered to make decisions, which supports guest satisfaction and improves morale.
- Utilise technology available in the hotel and department to optimise productivity, improve service delivery and facilitate internal communication.
- Be armed with knowledge on the product (location, history, concept story, etc.) and able to share this with our guests and new recruits in ways that enrich experiences.
- Ensure your teams know how to use the interdepartmental communication tools so as to ensure guest requirements are attended to in the quickest possible way.
- Welcome any guest that walks into the outlet, ensuring serving to the guest needs is attended to with intuitive but always culturally correct service.
- Recognize regular and loyal guests, spot the special occasions and create memorable experiences.
- Cultivate “We win and lose as teams…” attitude in the team.
- Use the Art of Service; be responsible for the whole guest journey in and beyond the outlet.
- Ensure effective communications and handover between shifts.
- Assign opening and closing duties, responsibilities and workstations and monitor duties through completion.
- Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, ensure guest's complaints are handled in a guest-oriented manner and assure follow up with guests.
- Ensure that the set-up of the outlet, the lighting and all aspects related to guest's experience are monitored and up to standard, before each service and in accordance with the reservations made and taking into consideration the weather conditions.
- Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
- Ensure that team members know their responsibility, and that they are organized in such a way that service is smooth, efficient, and reflects the standards and values of the hotel.
- Assists in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan.
- Ensures new technology and equipment are embraced, improving productivity whilst taking work out of the system.
- Monitor that adequate hygiene procedures and standards are respected at all times.
- Provides administrative support to Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef and ensures the implementation of hotel policies, standards, and procedures as they apply to the administrative functions.
- Types, files, and upkeeps all private and confidential matters related to the department.
- Sets up a systematic and efficient filing system, both for hardcopies as well as all electronic data, that enables quick retrieval.
- Ensures all files are kept up-to-date at all times.
- Prepares the relevant materials for all meetings attended by the Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef: Daily Operations Meeting, Leadership Committee Meetings, Departmental Meetings, and ad hoc meetings.
- Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate official and places outgoing calls.
- Makes copies of correspondence or other printed matters.
- Types, takes dictation and minutes, draft letters, files and traces and composes correspondence.
- Monitors and maintains the proper appearance of the Division's office area.
- Reads and routes incoming mail and outgoing correspondences.
- Handles outgoing mails by courier.
- Ensures all authorization forms are fully completed and signed by the respective executive before handing over to the Director of Finance for signature.
- Handles monthly requisition of stationeries/general and dry goods stores.
- Checks and updates associates' attendance records for Division Head's approval and obtain individual associate's signature before forwarding it to Paymaster.
- Handles franking of mails for the Division.
- Maintain F&B public drive weekly, ensure it is tidy and organized all the time.
