- Teach up to twenty class periods per week (Monday to Friday) and be available in the staff office for at least six class periods per week for student consultation.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centred classes, including compiling relevant teaching materials.
- Develop, invigilate, mark, and second-mark assessments within agreed deadlines.
- Supervise final-year projects and act as an academic advisor for assigned students.
- Participate in staff development, including completing a staff development plan, attending training, and engaging in peer observations.
- Take part in staff appraisals and contribute to programme marketing if requested.
- Attend team meetings and fulfil administrative responsibilities as outlined in the staff handbook.
- Ensure all duties are performed to the highest standard and within agreed timeline.

- For Senior Lecturer Positions - Candidates should have a PhD degree in a relevant subject area with significant teaching experience.
- For Lecturer Positions - Should have a PhD degree or towards the completion of it.
- For Associate Lecturer Positions - Candidates must have Masters degree in a relevant subject area and industry experiences
- At least 2 years of Higher Education teaching experience
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons in English
- Student-focused approach to teaching
- Effective at using assessment for and of learning
- Relevant industry experience
- Ability to contextualise learning for a Chinese context.
- It is desirable for candidates to have experience of teaching in a UK/International Higher Education Institution.
- It is desirable for candidates to have a dedicated teaching qualification.
- Non-native English-speaking candidates would normally have an IELTS 7.5 or equivalent.
- As a British institution awarding a British degree, we strongly encourage applications from candidates with teaching experience in the UK or at a UK institution. The ideal candidate will also have experience in programme development, providing support for teaching teams, and mentoring colleagues to enhance academic excellence.
