Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to: Category Manager__Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.The work model for the role is: {onsite}This role is contributing to the {Primary Switchgear/EL/ELDS/Procurement} in {Xiamen, China}. Main stakeholders are {Procurement Manager}.You will be mainly accountable for:

Executes procurement strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
Designs and implements plans and effective strategies for sourcing of products/materials/equipment/tooling to reach business targets.
Supports the Procurement Manager in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
Supports alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.
Applies and implements procurement standards, tools, and processes in their own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
Tracks the procurement processes and activities and creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards.
Resolves issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery in their assigned area.
Tracks internal and supplier performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality issues, and implements related development actions.
Delivers and participates in training programs as required to ensure compliance and foster professional development.
Ensures effective and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units and centers.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing related field and 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing procurement, supply chain field.
Experience with power transmission and distribution industry is preferred, familiar with production equipment / Robotic/tooling and other direct materials.
Excellent communication skills in a matrix organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing operation environment, ability to manage complex projects.
Ability to identify opportunities, develop strategy and implement innovative solutions.
Self-motivated, results driven, demonstrated leadership, and ability to take initiatives.
Proficiency in offices, ERP and analytics is required.
Fluent in English
