Job Description Position Overview:Duke Kunshan University seeks an experienced digital communications professional to manage and strengthen its web presence and to oversee content across its official digital and video platforms in China and globally. The Digital Communications Manager works closely with academic and administrative units to deliver high-quality digital storytelling that supports DKU's visibility and reputation. The role integrates written, visual, and video content to convey the achievements of faculty, students, and alumni, and to ensure that DKU's digital platforms function as trusted, engaging, and strategically aligned communication channels. This position is well suited to a creative, driven communicator who is comfortable operating in a global environment and motivated by contributing to the continued development of a young, globally engaged university.Reports to:Senior Director of Strategic Marketing and Public RelationsEssential Duties:1. Manage DKU's web presence, including the main site, news site, and key institutional pages, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a strong user experience.2. Oversee DKU's official video platforms in China and globally, including content planning, production coordination, publishing, and distribution.3. Develop and implement digital communications strategies and editorial plans across web and video channels.4. Produce and supervise written, visual, multimedia, and video content, in collaboration with Comms colleagues and student contributors through the Student Media Center.5. Advance the university's brand through high-quality storytelling, particularly feature content highlighting students, faculty, alumni, and institutional initiatives.6. Ensure all digital publications align with DKU's messaging and meet established editorial and quality standards.7. Perform other duties as assigned.8. University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.Skills & experienceRequired Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree or above.2. At least eight years of relevant experience in journalism, media, communications, marketing or related fields.3. Strong writing and editing skills in Chinese and/or English.4. Highly motivated, collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and lead projects.5. Minimum requirements may be met by an equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills.
