- Ensure effective teaching and management of classes, groups and individuals so that objectives are met, progress and challenge are maintained and the best use is made of teaching time.
- Use teaching methods, which will engage stimulate students' intellectual curiosity, including the use of effective questioning, clear presentation and effective use of resources.
- Set high expectations for students' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of behaviour management in accordance with the rules and behaviour policy of the school.
- Teach up to and including A level Maths with the ability to teach Further Maths as a significant advantage.
- Lead initiatives to boost student participation and school spirit.
- Support enrichment activities and school events.
- Strengthen parental engagement through clear communication and progress updates.
- Deliver dynamic, inclusive, and effective lessons.
- Foster creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
- Use data-driven strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Integrate digital tools to enhance learning experiences.
- Serve as a Form Tutor and contribute to the IB curriculum.
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Ensure rigorous assessment and timely feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
- Engage in continuous professional learning.
- Reflect on practice to improve teaching effectiveness.
- Uphold school values and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
- Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
- Compliance with visa requirements for working.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
