Tasks Objective of jobTo support the implementation of Mercedes-Benz's battery field measures and drive the challenging on-site restart of production, the MB Task Force has been expanded.For overall project success, it is critical to restart production and ramp up onsite with planned battery demand within a tight timeline. We are therefore seeking a Production Expert to join our task force at the supplier site, oversee the production ramp-up across module and pack plant, and ensure volume output, quality compliance, and continuous improvement in line with defined KPIs.The Production Expert is assumed as the Technical Project Leader to:Monitoring conformity of the key processes and rework processes, Q-gates, and traceability systems to ensure full adherence to the standards and conduct data analysis to proactively identify potential quality risks.Work with the supplier team to secure output efficiency, product quality and transparency and traceability, set up projects and lead to correct/ improve deviations.In addition, this role will provide transparent updates on production status, product quality, and improvement before-and-after to stakeholders and management, collaborating with both internal Mercedes-Benz stakeholders and supplier business partners to maintain, rectify, and improve on-site process standards and execution.Task DescriptionParticipate in SFM, join problem solving and CI, do data analysis, support onsite audit, secure change management, simulate and define necessary catch-up plan with realistic production capacity assumption.Setup projects and do analysis of complex production issues and deep dives; define, check and track the implementation of short- and long-term measuresBuild-up capability dashboard and proactively identify the potential quality risk via data analysis regularlyMonitoring of KPIs and steering/operating in accordance with the existing KPI set (OEE, output, yield, FTC, …)Qualifications QualificationsEducationGraduated/ certified engineer Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, technical orientated Business Administration or similarFluent English skills, German language skills is a plusExperienceMinimum of 5 years of work experience in production/production planning/supplier quality management/quality assuranceProblem-solving experience within automobile production/ supplier quality engineering/ equipment planningExperience in international cooperation projects; proven intercultural communication skills in ChinaSupplier onsite Taskforce experience, module/ pack production experience is a huge plusSpecific KnowledgeHigh motivation and flexibility combined with a high ability to work independentlyGood organization skills and structured working functionStrong background in production operation or quality assurance or data analysis related areasProficient knowledge in MS-Office especially in PPT, Excel and Power BIIntercultural competences, team playerIntercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levelsKnowledge in Battery technology/ development/ process is a huge plusIntegrative, open-minded character with excellent analytical, communication and facilitation skills; strong background in dig into data.
