- In charge of upstream innovation products from concept to prototype, with a strong focus on mechanical structures that enhance functionality.
- Use CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) to generate detailed design specifications.
- Develop and validate new mechanisms, components, and systems that deliver novel product features by D-FMEA analysis.
- Ensure the feasibility of designs to cost, materials, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with attorney for patent application and infringement identification.
- Utilize simulation analysis tools to verify the mechanical reliability and structural integrity of designs.
- Collaborate with engineers, industrial designers, marketing, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development cycle.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies, materials, and design trends relevant to innovation.
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to push the boundaries of what is technically and commercially possible.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, conception, manufactural and industrial structure conception related.
- 3+ years design experience, strong capability of classical mechanical structure design, packaging, home appliances, digital device,etc... Packaging design experience would be a plus.
- Good command of basic English communication skills - reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Be able to finish the whole design independently, better to have the sense of aesthetics and user-centric design.
- Be familiar with mockup fabrication process(3D printing, CNC, fast mold, 3D printing aide mold techno, etc)and fast mold process.
- Master of 3D software (CAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E or UG). Be able to model the difficult curved surface.
- Be familiar with plastic molding, metal stamping and mold conception. Good understanding on decoration process (spray, vacuum plating, etc).
- Experience with IP generation or patent applications related to mechanical innovations.
- Knowledge of mechanical simulation analysis.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles in product design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to present and defend ideas clearly.
