- Analyze category trends and establish design and fabric guidelines for the Design and Buying teams, implementing insights into seasonal range plans.
- Collaborate with Finance, Brand Inventory Team, and Head of Buying to finalize the range plan.
- Develop and manage delivery plans for brand and online collections in coordination with Sales, Buying, and Design teams.
- Engage in market research to identify new garment suppliers and emerging trends, alongside the Head of Buying.
- Participate in seasonal inspiration trips with the Design team to influence design concepts.
- Oversee the Design process with the Brand Director, focusing on overall concept, color, and fabric selection.
- Lead the category buying team in managing product development, including fit, bulk management, pricing, quality, and lead time.
- Drive product innovation by supporting the design process and utilizing the latest techniques and fabrics.
- Negotiate with suppliers on purchase prices, quality, and delivery to meet margin, quality, and lead-time KPIs.
- Develop and execute a production strategy that emphasizes speed-to-market and supplier base expansion to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise long-term strategies that align with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Ensure product fit and quality are maintained at high standards and continuously improved.
- Work with the Head of Buying to cultivate new supplier relationships and identify emerging needs.
- Strive for constant sales growth and enhance sales-through in the brand's retail and online networks.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Design, Buying, or Merchandising, with a preference for menswear expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strong management track record.
- Hands-on product skills and technical expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in textiles or substantial experience in the fashion industry.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical abilities and business acumen.
- Excellent fashion sense with the capacity to incorporate new trends into product development.
- Proficient negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Passion for delivering high-quality products to market.
