This role involves strategic business development, operational excellence, and leadership of cross-functional teams to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective project logistics solutions. The incumbent will drive revenue growth, manage key client relationships (particularly EPCs, oil & gas, energy, and infrastructure sectors), and ensure high service standards in line with global and regional strategies.Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute the regional strategy for Projects & Heavy Lift in alignment with global business goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities across EPCs, energy, mining, renewable, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Lead bid and tender processes, ensuring competitive positioning and profitability.
  • Monitor regional performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Business Development & Client Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, global key accounts, and industry stakeholders.
  • Drive customer engagement through proactive business development and solution design.
  • Negotiate major project contracts, framework agreements, and long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
  • Operational & Technical Expertise
  • Oversee planning and execution of complex and heavy lift transport operations, including engineering, route surveys, permits, and marine coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards, HSSE guidelines, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors, vessel owners, heavy haulage providers, and MWS.
  • Support project teams with risk assessment, contingency planning, and problem resolution.
  • Financial & Performance Management
  • Own the regional P&L for Projects & Heavy Lift business.
  • Set revenue, margin, and growth targets; monitor KPIs and financial performance.
  • Control cost structures and ensure project profitability.
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, and investment proposals for the region.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a multicultural team of project managers, engineers, and operations staff.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing for upcoming projects and pipeline opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Develop succession planning and talent pipelines within the region.
Exemption TypeExempt (Salaried)Job RequirementsQualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's preferred
  • Minimum 12-15 years in freight forwarding / project logistics with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing EPC, energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of heavy lift transport engineering, vessel chartering, and global compliance standards.
  • Strategic business development and P&L management; strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).
