External Affairs PartnerLocation: Beijing, ChinaReporting line: Tender (External Affairs) ManagerJob SummaryThis position is responsible for the development of external affairs strategic target and tenet, focus on policies of product coding, pricing, procurement, and reimbursement, establish and maintain governmental communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated plan covers full spectrum of market access activities needed to achieve revenue-optimal goals. Understand the dynamic healthcare policies and create good external circumstance and implement action plans to support company’s core business. Ensure all the business activities are in line with government regulations and Straumann’s core values.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive relationship with government, public services, industry associations and other authorities at the national and local level to advance the Straumann’s business interest, including but not limited to products coding, pricing, procurement, listing, reimbursement or other market access activities;
  • Timely monitor, analyze and interpret relevant government policies in key regions, facilitate to advise strategic & operational implications for the function leadership and local teams;
  • Involve in the collaboration with regional, local counterparts and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Commercial, etc.) to collectively develop and execute an optimal market access plan, explore the opportunities and risks in the dental health sector for the delivery of the targeted advocacy in support of Straumann’s business goals;
  • Build mutual beneficial partnerships with core scholars and academic institutions, facilitate to design and implement projects and programs in respect of holistic health-related research, to create a favorable external policy environment for the company;
  • Lead the biding and listing affairs in the North Part of China, work with sales and distributors to implement the tendering project;
  • Complete assigned tasks from the team leader.
Required Qualification
  • Minimum 2-4 years relevant experience in government affairs, market access or tendering;
  • Good understanding of social health insurance schemes and health care policies at the national, provincial and municipal levels;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills to achieve set goals in a collaborative way and proven track record of building relationships and influencing internal and external stakeholders;
  • Good analytical skills and strategic thinking to highlight key opportunities and challenges for business growth;
  • Basic knowledge of project management with self-directed, motivated and problem- solver mentality;
  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English with listening, spoken, written communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Education/Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or above;
  • Education in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Medicine and Health Management;
  • MNC working experience is preferred.
