- Support materials development, sourcing, and operations activities for fabric and trim
- Work with suppliers to translate material requests and conduct material development.
- Ensure the development meets the agreed technical criteria and ensure that suppliers comply with them.
- Ensure development deadline is met by adhering to timeline on Critical Path/GTM.
- Participate in risk assessment discussion with cross functional team to identify potential issues on quality during development process.
- Manage material information and color entry in PLM, ensure accuracy of the data and system update in timely manner.
- Manage material database in PLM and physical library.
- Work with both internal teams and external laboratories on performance and wearer tests.
- Support lab dip, Print S/O, and 1st bulk approval, color standard and visual standard distribution. Ensure seasonal color deadline are met.
- Support the Operations team on supplier capacity assessment and capacity booking for both sample and bulk orders.
- Support brand to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Material knowledges both fabric and trim.
- Have at least 5 years related experience in materials merchandising, can be from brand house, trading, or manufacture.
- Understand design and product engineering.
- Able to work with multi calendars and various projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge on PLM is preferred.
