This HR Director will be a critical strategic HR Business Partner to support and coach the business in formulating HR strategies, goals and objectives that are aligned with the business strategies and businesses growth for the whole of China based in Shanghai. The HR Director is also directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function in according with Country strategies, Zone/ Corporate HR policies and Local Labor Laws.
- Provide HR expertise and partner client groups in HR change management initiatives; linking human resource strategies to business objectives
- Provide guidance to management, lead/support on a wide range of matters, including employee engagement and HR policies and programs
- Facilitate leadership and high potential employee development program to optimize performance and build up future pipeline of leaders. Review/develop HR best practices to bridge current abilities to future talent needs
- Drive performance driven organization with effective performance policy and process, collaborate with business leaders on performance reviews, compensation reviews, promotions, development plans for critical talents and corrective plans for low performance etc.
- Oversee the day to day operations of HR in support of the employee life cycle - onboarding, development, performance management, exiting. Implement process improvements as appropriate.
- Utilize and understand data through analytics to design the HR strategy for China.
- Be the culture ambassador of the organisation, by developing a culture of respect, dialogue & transparency and diversity & inclusion
- Implement global and regional HR programs in the country. Actively participate in and help drive HR activities in the region, and support develop regional programs when required
- Leading, developing and strengthening HR team in China to perform at their full potential
- Bachelor / Master Degree with at least 15 years' experience in a HR Business Partner role, preferably with international experience
- Demonstrated ability to influence managers on change initiatives
- Ability to be flexible in operational style to meet the needs of a multi-cultural, diversified, and fast-growing organization
- Strong communicati and written skills
- Pragmatism and business acumen
- Superior organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and anticipate the needs of multiple client groups
- Sound knowledge of local labor law and HR practices
