We are looking for a Bilingual Librarian Teacher 双语图书馆老师 for an International School in Suzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.About schoolThis school is the first of its kind in China to be built specifically for children of returnees, children of overseas Chinese, and students who wish to receive an internationalized Chinese education. The school implements small-class bilingual teaching with no more than 24 students in each class. This school is the only full IB World School in Suzhou that is able to enroll Chinese students.Job responsibilities
  • Promotion and support for the academic ethos of the school
  • Ensure that the library is at the academic heart of the school
  • To actively promote our bilingual language policy and ensure both languages are equally represented within the library space
  • To collaborate with the growing family of librarians
  • To provide relevant support for our Accelerated Reader Programme
  • To maintain a strategic overview of book usage
  • To spend the library budget strategically
  • To develop library ICT resources and manage the library information system
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
  • Teaching certificate
  • Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Fluent in Chinese and English
Salary and benefits
  • Monthly salary range of 10,000 to 25,000 RMB and is negotiable commensurate with experience and qualifications
