Role & Responsibilities:Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position) :To support the Merchandising director/Senior manager, in the execution of Regional Product Strategy following the Long Range Plan, build outdoor credibility, become the voice of the region and select key product initiatives against these strategies to achieve budgeted revenue gross margin and brand authenticity building in the region. Lead the Regional Product assortment building process following the regional initiative.Key Result Areas:
  • To digest the brand innovation and technology. Be the expertise in the regional team.
  • To plan the range of summit series to regain outdoor credibility for the brand.
  • To bring responsibly local consumer and customer insight to the brand.
  • To analyze and evaluate opportunities by product class with local team and customers to identify areas of growth, research needs and margin enhancement.
  • To develop and deploy market right merchandising plan for the region, respecting the regional and global product direction by Globalization project in mind.
  • To represent Asia region during Proto session for the final product factures could matching back to story benefits and win in the market.
  • To participate actively into the overall GTM transformation process internally and externally from kick off meeting to sales meeting.
  • To set up pricing in Local currency following market situation and margin expectation under VF forecast and planning calendar.
  • To work closely with the Retail buying team in building the right assortment for retail started from planning to sell thru and inventory management.
  • To support SMPM by overseeing the maintenance of seasonal product lines as well as providing analytical reporting on product performance in the region, working with product operation team
  • To ensure a strong collaboration and communication with HK& TW merchandising manager and distributers to hit their market needs.
  • To support the SMPM to gather and research market information via comparative shopping, trade fairs, etc. including research in competitive information.
  • To maintain and improve general market awareness, trends by product management.
  • To participate together with the RBE team actively in the monthly merchandising store execution, to make sure the story telling and the focus is correctly executed.
  • To participate in training store staff on product features and benefits as well as USP.

ExperienceMinimum Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in category merchandising role managing products/assortment.Minimum Supervisory Experience: 3 years of experienceNature of Work: Prior experience as the role like product merchandising, or buying manager for relevant brands.Academic QualificationsMinimum Degree Held: University Degree in business or fashion, Bachelor or Master levelSubject Expert In:Certifications Required :Language Proficiency:
