Electronics Test Engineer will work as a subject matter expert in ensuring CM processes meet Bose requirements. You will guide, oversee, review, and approve the test process development of our new products. Working closely with our contract manufacturers and development teams you will identify risks and serve as a subject matter expert in test process related activities. You will have the responsibility to ensure/manage that our contract manufacturers (CMs) meet defined NPI deliverables throughout the development process. This is a global role with interfaces in China, SouthEast Asia, as well as with our North America Team.Responsibilities:

Being a subject matter expert in PCBA , Final Assembly, and System test to support test system design and procurement.
Reviewing, overseeing & approving CM developed test solutions.
Conduct DFT reviews and provide input to the development teams on alternate test methods.
Being responsible for ensuring adequate test coverage at the best value for Bose.
Design reviewing test sequence (software script), test systems and test fixtures used in automated testing.
Reviewing and approving strain analysis results, test coverage reports, measurement system analysis, capability studies
Overseeing, reviewing, and managing test related quotations for capital estimates
Ensure CM processes meet Bose requirements.
Closely work with our contract manufacturers and internal Bose teams to identify and manage risks proactively.
Review, comment, and approve of testing process and equipment development activities
Drive CMs to execute NPI activities on time / within budget
Evaluate CM capabilities and gaps.
Summarize project status and elevate abnormalities

Skills:

Ability to read and analyze schematics.
Strong debugging skills, both software and hardware.
National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW experience and ability to perform design review on test sequences developed by others as necessary.
Familiarity with of MSA and how to apply it to test systems
Familiarity with test methods for wireless and sensor technologies (Wifi, Bluetooth, NFC, IMU).
Experience with audio systems, audio test equipment or measurements is a plus.
Strong fundamental knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis and design

Analog and digital measurement/data acquisition fundamentals
Experience using lab equipment: Multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, audio analyzers
Knowledge and understanding of the application of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, USB, UART, I2S, TDM, PCM, PDM, GPIB, Ethernet, etc.
Knowledge in In-Circuit test, functional test fixture and test system design and deployment in manufacturing
Experience in application of DOE and other problem solving methods
Programming capability and experience with C/C++, Python.
Understanding of Agilent i3070 programming and ability to review and approve test mains developed by others, knowledge in IEEE1194.1 Boundary Scan
Ability to analyze empirical data with a good understanding of statistics tools and charts.
Ability to review and provide cost estimates and analysis on test system solutions and quotations provided by Bose suppliers
Ability to use structured problem solving tools
Basic project management skills, scheduling, budgeting
Ability to work on several different projects simultaneously
Ability to work with teams both locally and internationally.
Good verbal & written technical communication skills
Fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English
Self-motivated and self-driven
Ability to influence others – particularly our CMs to ensure high quality solutions are achieved on time and on budget.
